Single trip policies cover you for one specific trip you will be taking.

Annual Multi-trip cover is usually the most cost effective option. This will cover you for an unlimited number of trips in a 12 month period, each up to a maximum of 31 days long (45 days if you choose Premier Plus cover). Winter Sports cover is automatically included for persons aged 74 years or under - up to a maximum of 17 days during the policy year.

Each person named on an annual multi-trip policy can travel independently of each other.

Computerquote Travel Insurance is available to people who have been resident in the UK, Channel Islands and BFPO (British Forces Posted Overseas) for at least six months prior to purchasing your policy.

You must be in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or BFPO at the time of purchasing this policy and your trip must start and end in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or BFPO.

Yes. The definition of family is two adult partners and their accompanying children (under 18 years at the date of issue of the policy, or under 23 years if still in full time education and normally resident with an insured adult).

Yes, A Trip within Your Home Country is only covered where you have pre-booked at least 1 night’s accommodation.  However, cover for Emergency Medical and Associated Expenses is excluded. 

If you are travelling to Australia /New Zealand cover is provided for up to 48 hours in a higher rated area. Please ensure you have purchased the correct area of cover if travelling worldwide.

You are only covered for terrorist activity in respect of Emergency Medical and Associated Expenses.

You are covered for cancellation if made redundant (except voluntary redundancy) provided in permanent paid employment, after a continuous working period of 2 years or longer with the same employer and is not on a short term fixed contract.

Yes. Please read the Medical Declaration during the Get a Quote process on this website and answer the questions carefully. If required, you will be taken through the Medical Screening process and an additional premium may be required.

If we are not able to provide cover under Computerquote Travel Insurance, you will be offered a link to Free Spirit, who are a specialist travel insurance provider for those with existing medical conditions.

If you accidentally damage some else’s property while travelling you are covered for your legal liability for accidental damage to property which is not owned or being looked after by you or a member of your family.

If you damage any rented accommodation then an excess of £200 will apply to any claim.

Subject to Underwriters agreement, we can extend single trip policies providing you let us know before your policy expires and at the time of requesting the extension you are not intending to make a claim. Please note, this is subject to your existing trip duration including the extended period not exceeding the maximum trip duration available. For Annual Multi trip policies, any policy adjustments must be made before you commence on your trip. You will be advised of the additional premium at the time of the request.

Unfortunately not, the definition of a couple is you and your close relative who lives with you in a domestic relationship at the same address.

Computerquote Annual Multi-trip travel insurance automatically includes winter sports. You will need to add winter sports on to your policy if you purchase single trip cover. Winter sport activities, including skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, tobogganing / sledging, snow blading, off piste (with guide), husky dog sledding, snow mobiling, snow tubing and more.

Call us to enquire about cover for activities not listed. Please read page 5 and section B14 pages 12 & 13 of the policy wording for full winter sports cover and exclusions.

The following activities are covered if Winter Sports cover is selected and shown on your Schedule of Insurance and the appropriate additional premium has been paid.

Biathlon, Big Foot Skiing, Blade Skating, Cat Skiing, Glacier Walking, Husky Dog Sledding, Kick Sledging, Mono-Skiing, Off Piste skiing/snowboarding (with guide), Passenger Sledge, Ski Boarding, Ski Bobbing, Ski Dooing, Skiing, Skiing –Nordic/Cross Country, Sledging/Tobogganing, Sleigh riding (reindeer, horses or dogs), Snow Biking, Snow Mobile/Ski Doos, Snow Parascending, Snow Scooting, Snow Shoe Walking, Snow Tubing, Snowcat Driving, Telemarking.

Other Winter Sports Activities are available and the appropriate premium has been paid, please see Activity Packs 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8.

Computerquote Travel Insurance has been designed primarily for the leisure traveller; however limited cover for business travel is included. This is restricted to straightforward business trips i.e. ‘white collar’ work. In case of serious emergency or where costs are likely to exceed £500– you must contact our medical assistance service on +44 (0)203 829 6745

Staff are on call 24 hours a day throughout the year. They will, when necessary, guarantee medical bills and arrange repatriation if required.  Note: You must retain receipts for medical & additional costs incurred.

Outpatient bills for less than £500 should be paid at the time and claimed on your return. It is very important to obtain an itemised receipt for any monies paid for medical treatment.

You should print a copy of your Schedule of Insurance and policy documents and carry them with you - the Insurance Policy includes important telephone numbers including the Medical Emergency Assistance Service that is available to you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for advice, assistance, making arrangements for hospital admission, repatriation and authorisation of medical expenses.

If you are not completely satisfied with the cover provided you may return your policy to us within 14 days on receipt of your policy documents. Provided you have not travelled or made or intend to make a claim, your premium will be refunded in full.

An EHIC entitles you to reduced-cost, sometimes free, medical treatment that becomes necessary while you are in a European Economic Union (EEA) country or Switzerland, provided you are a UK or BFPO resident (please note if you reside in the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands you are not eligible for an EHIC). The EEA consists of the European Union (EU) countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The card gives access to state-provided medical treatment only. You may have to make a contribution to the cost of your care.
