How did Mitsubishi Motors Europe fare in 2011?

26 Jan 2012

Many people with car insurance policies look to have taken a keen interest in the product range provided by Mitsubishi Motors Europe.

This is after the well-known Japanese car manufacturer revealed that it achieved 149,967 sales during 2011.

Such a figure represents a seven per cent increase in volume for the company when compared to the 140,311 sales recorded during the previous year.

British motorists made up more than 17,000 of the Mitsubishi vehicle sales throughout 2011, with only Germany shipping more units (30,971 sales).

The rise in volumes is even more impressive when considering the fact that the Japanese company had to deal with an unstable global economy, the end of France's scrappage incentive and the introduction of austerity measures in such countries as Ireland, Greece and Portugal.

Furthermore, natural disasters in Thailand and Japan also forced Mitsubishi to alter its manufacturing tactics in 2011.

SEAT was also celebrating recently, after the Spanish car manufacturer achieved 36,089 vehicle sales to set a new all-time record market share.
