Female motor insurance customers enjoy buying a car and only a minority leave it to the man in their life, new research has shown.
The findings from used car website Carmony.co.uk found that more than 60 per cent of the women questioned enjoy buying a car, with almost half looking for reliability when motor shopping.
Only three per cent of female motor insurance customers say they would leave the car buying to the man in their life.
Alan Hazelhurst, managing director of Carmony.co.uk, said: "It's a common misconception that women are intimidated by the car buying process, our research highlights that the majority of women do enjoy shopping for a car."
It seems car buying is a popular activity at the moment, as figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders showed that 27 per cent more new vehicle registrations were recorded in February, when compared to the same month in 2009.
