Best money-saving deals pointed out to car insurance customers

Car insurance customers looking to splash out on a new set of wheels have been offered guidance on the current market's best money-saving deals.

According to Honestjohn.co.uk, with the new '60' registration plate now available and the government's VAT increase not due until January, now is a "good time to buy a new car".

Dan Harrison, the website's editor, explained, however, that with fewer offers around, buyers would need to look harder to find the best ways of saving money when car shopping.

"Offers and deals on new cars aren't as generous as they were two years ago which means buyers need to shop around more to save money," he said.

The website has put together an online guide, including an A-Z of all of the best deals and offers from manufacturers, along with links to brokers who can help car insurance customers save money.

Recent figures from the Sainsbury's Finance Car Buying Index revealed that the number of British motor insurance customers looking to buy a new vehicle had risen to its highest level in three years.
