Drivers urged to invest in Pirelli tyres

Car insurance policyholders have been advised to purchase tyres manufactured by Pirelli, following the publication of new research.

Encircle Marketing carried out a study which has seen the Italian company named as the most recommended tyre brand across the UK for 2011.

It is the second consecutive year that Pirelli has been honoured with the accolade, with the firm earning 6.7 per cent of all recommendations in the survey.

Dominic Sandivasci, managing director of Pirelli UK, acknowledged that coming out on top in Encircle Marketing's study is "extremely important" to the Italian tyre giant.

"Our premium reputation is built upon high levels of customer satisfaction and the fact that our brand is spreading through word of mouth is fantastic for our growth," he explained.

Michelin was also celebrating recently after consumer watchdog Which? awarded both its Alpin A4 and Primacy Alpin PA3 tyres Best Buy statuses.

The products were praised for their high-standard performance levels while driving through wet and wintry conditions, as well as their wear performance.
